Cristina & Cris
Cristina & Chris, Cerretti Chapel Wedding
“As you sit side by side on this roller coaster of life, remember to scream through the peaks, hold hands through the dips, laugh through the loops and enjoy every twist and turn, for the ride is better because you share it together.” These words, spoken during the wedding celebration of Cristina and Chris, give just a glimmer of what is in store, as the happy couple embark on their new life together.
During a comical speech from the groom, Cristina was reminded of the night Chris proposed. At the conclusion of a one month holiday, he chose romantic Venice as the setting, but, after the proposal and many, many tears, he had to remind his beloved that she had never actually answered his question! Thankfully, the answer was yes, which led to a beautiful spring day in November, 2014, when Chris and Cristina became man and wife in a stunning ceremony at the Cerretti Chapel in Manly; that was captured in cinematic style by Biting Designs.
The bride was a picture in her fitted diamante bodice and full white skirt, with a large bouquet of white flowers that perfectly matched the buttonhole bloom worn by Chris. The pastel tones of the bride were expertly contrasted with the aqua blue of the bridesmaids one shouldered gowns. Arriving at the stately old church in a vintage car, Cristina was unable to hold back her tears of joy as she walked down the aisle towards her waiting groom. In a touching display, the bride and groom spoke their vows as one, pronouncing together “we will!” After the traditional catholic ceremony they completed their first task as man and wife, lighting a single candle together before the church altar. Beautiful Cerretti Chapel Wedding.
After a whirlwind of photographs taken throughout the historic streets of Sydney, the bride and groom joined their family and friends for a wonderfully adorned reception venue, laid out with white linen tablecloths, long stemmed vases and dripping bouquets of blooming white lilies.
Most in attendance were aware that Chris and Cristina met at salsa dancing lessons – so it should have been no surprise when Cristina donned a suitably spangled salsa dress and the couple put on a tremendous display of their dancing skills. The couple were soon joined by others who also lit up the dance-floor with their smooth moves, as well as a spangled professional salsa dancer, complete with feathered headdress.
After a final costume change into an elegant, ankle length gown, the bride and groom said their farewells and embarked on their honeymoon through an impromptu guard of honour, formed by the outstretched arms of their loving friends and family.
